Ithebula Imidlalo

I-Keno slot

Keno is not a game widely played in the UK but for gamblers particularly in the USA and Australia this bingo-like game is extremely popular. Many Australian bars will feature Keno machines in the same way that a British pub contains fruit machines although there are some differences as we shall explain below. This is Net Entertainment’s version of the game and it’s an interesting diversion even if you usually prefer slots – it also features a progressive jackpot.

Keno is a very simple game to play but it’s quite addictive and the Autoplay function here means you can burn through your bankroll pretty quickly if you’re out of luck.

The playing area is the 10 x 8 grid which you can see in the screenshot above; the box on the left shows the results of the most recent plays and the paytable on the right displays the potential winnings for specific numbers of matches.

If you’d like to play the game manually all you need to do is choose ten numbers on the grid by clicking on them; then press ‘Go’ and the game will select twenty random squares to mark with a cross. If at least three of those computer picks match your numbers you will win some money – 3 matches will win you 0.5x your stake up to 10,000x for ten matches.

If you’re the sort of person who really doesn’t like to make any effort at all then the ‘Autopick’ button will select ten random numbers for you. You can then choose to use the ‘Play 5’ or ‘Play 10’ buttons to play that number of imidlalo automatically. Using the ‘Auto’ button in the bottom left hand corner will allow you to play up to 1000 games in a row.

Joker Bonus

Occasionally you may uncover a joker underneath a square and this will be added to the joker bonus spaces in the top left hand corner. When all are lit you will receive a free game with any win doubled )except jackpot wins). The jokers will then be cleared.

Progressive Jackpot

You can see the jackpot total in the top right hand corner and this is won if the computer forms a ‘J’ in the centre of the screen when picking tiles. There are five bet levels and potential prizes as follows:

  • Bet level 1 – 20% of jackpot
  • Bet level 2 – 40% of jackpot
  • Bet level 3 – 60% of jackpot
  • Bet level 4 – 80% of jackpot
  • Bet level 5 – 100% of jackpot
